The Tommyrots

Tom Vrolijk received a contribution to develop the debut album of his band The Tommyrots. The album unpacks memorable melodies and powerful hooks reminiscent of the heyday of the 60s and 70s, but serving precisely to excite young ears as well. Within their repertoire, the band also tries to address the relevance of contemporary issues hidden in imaginative lyrics. The album is a mix of classic and psychedelic rock, britpop and folk.

The Tommyrots' authentic sound is shaped by echoes of the past. Inspired by old legends like The Beatles, The Who, Stealers Wheel; but also by more contemporary artists like Blur and The Lemon Twigs; the guys from The Tommyrots combine inventive and catchy melodies, accompanied by raw guitars and distinctive vocals.
