In When Teenagers Joined The Revolution, we follow 16-year-old teenager Sarina in her life in Iran. She vlogs about love, freedom, a new mall and sings Take Me To Church by Hozier. One day, elsewhere in Iran, a 22-year-old girl, Mahsa Zina Amini, is arrested for allegedly not wearing her headscarf correctly. Her arrest leads to a social revolution in Iran. If someone else decides for you what you can say, do and wear, are you willing to risk your life to gain more freedom?

Niki Padidar is a director and conceives, writes and creates stories for children, adolescents and adults. She studied photography at the New School University in New York, did an orientation year at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and got her masters at the UvA, specializing in "Youth & Media" and "Image Formation. She wrote the sex education book Dokter Corrie Geeft Antwoord which has sold 10,000 copies.
