Kawa Nemir undertakes a literary mission considered to be impossible: Translating James Joyce’s Ulysses to Kurdish, an oppressed language in Turkey. Due to the political conditions in Turkey, he takes refuge in Amsterdam as a writer in residence at Anne Frank’s former house.
