Dramaturgie van de zintuigen

Interdisciplinary director Anna Verkouteren Jansen does technological research within audio theater. With the aim of uncovering a ‘dramaturgy of the senses’, she dives into 3D sound software, hacks into a massage chair and opens a 0909 phone line. Her work is about the comforting power of our imagination. She mixes theater and film codes with installation art poetry and music codes, with the aim of giving the viewer the most intimate and immersive experience possible. In terms of content, she focuses on the “dramaturgy of the senses,” aiming to use all theatrical means as part of a score, allowing the audience to see with the body and let go of reason. She deploys technology and alienating elements, hoping to make the audience experience a magical moment outside of reality, to evoke specific emotion and alienation.
