What are we in it for?

Ruby Woudt received a grant to develop her debut EP. What are we in it for? is a sample of the collection of songs she has written over the past 2 years. The creation process of this EP focuses on her development as an artist and producer. Two of the four songs were produced by Ruby herself. The songs on this EP explore themes of heartbreak, family and personal events.

Ruby is an emerging folk-pop artist. Inspired by artists such as Laura Marling and Bon Iver, Ruby embraces her acoustic guitar and writes personal songs. She tentatively started writing her own music at the Conservatory, but writing really began to win her over after discovering the rawness and power of storytelling in folk music. Her love for the written word drives her, while she dreams of writing a book one day.
