Project grant

Dutch indie duo Silver Lake, consisting of Marleen Hoebe and Jesse Koch, has received a grant to develop their second album. Marleen and Jesse make up Dutch indie duo Silver Lake. Partners in both music and life, the duo makes nocturnal, melancholy Art-Pop. Their 1960s-style analog videos released during this year are musically supported by rich melodic instrumentation. On sound, influences can be heard from acts such as Lana Del Rey and Last Shadow Puppets - as well as old troubadours such as Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood; with a nostalgic nod to the past, but with eyes keenly focused on the future.
