JOASH

Joash Korfker received a grant for the development of a new EP. This project involves the recording and completion of JOASH’s second EP, a pop record with influences from country music, consisting of four tracks centered around the theme of "authenticity." The EP is inspired by personal choices related to religion, love, and career. In collaboration with country producer Nick Jongejan, the project aims to blend traditional country elements with modern pop music. This EP represents the next step in JOASH’s artistic development, with the goal of further defining his sound, reaching a broader audience, and contributing to the evolution of the country-pop genre. The release is planned for July 2025.

In 2022, JOASH released his first single. He then performed with his band at venues and events including AFAS Live, Reurpop, and TivoliVredenburg, and opened for Ciao Lucifer. Following these performances, JOASH entered the studio at the Abbey Road Institute to record his debut EP, From The Start Out, with his band. With airplay on Giel Beelen's radio station, Radio4ALL, and 10,000 streams on Spotify, JOASH is now preparing for the release of his second EP. This new EP combines pop with classic country influences.
