Hopeless Nostalgia

Jaber Fayad received a grant to develop Hopeless Nostalgia: a musical project consisting of six crossover compositions by Jaber Fayad. These pieces were composed in Syria and the Netherlands in an attempt to capture the feeling of loss and being unloved.

Jaber is considered a versatile and elastic musician. His music reflects the range of his artistic influences and different musical styles, such as Arabic, Azerbaijani and the extensive and different principles of Ottoman traditional music. The Jaber Fayad Quintet is a group of musicians from different origins and musical backgrounds.
