Decolmuseum
Alfian Adytia, better known by his stage name EMIR, after receiving a development grant, has now received a project grant for the project Decolmuseum: a progressive rock album for cello, available on vinyl, cassette, and accompanied by a photo-essay book. This album delves into themes of colonial history, the toxicity and consumerism fueled by social media, and the evolving relationship between humanity and artificial intelligence.
Originally from Indonesia, Alfian is a composer, cellist, performer, and educator now based in the Netherlands. His work merges folk, classical, rock, and electronic music. After completing his master's degree in classical music, EMIR broadened his musical horizons, leading to numerous releases, performances, and residencies at major festivals.
