Traversus received funding to develop a second EP, following The Only Way Is Through. This debut EP was well received, earning positive reviews from outlets such as 3voor12 Drenthe, ZO!34, and Dagblad van het Noorden. It was also named Release of the Week by Gitarist magazine. The second EP builds on this solid foundation, showcasing an even more refined sound—one that is unmistakably Traversus. The tracks feature well-crafted arrangements, intricate guitar riffs, powerful drums, and diverse time signatures. Beyond the meticulous composition, the lyrics address important themes, often carrying a socially critical undertone, reflecting on human behavior and tackling sensitive subjects to encourage listeners to think.  

Traversus is a metal band from the north of the Netherlands, blending hard rock and metal with a progressive edge and a tight, heavy sound. Inspired by acts like Karnivool, Leprous, Gojira, and Muse, the band is known for complex guitar riffs, irregular time signatures, and surprisingly accessible rhythms. Their debut EP, The Only Way Is Through (2023), produced by Joost van den Broek (Epica, among others), was well received by outlets such as 3voor12 and Gitarist. Traversus has previously performed at Eurosonic, Bevrijdingsfestival Leeuwarden, Hello Festival, Packhalle Open Air (DE), and the AFAS Live Talent Stage.
