Falun Ellie Koos received a grant to write their new book. Rouwdouwers is about sink or swim, bend or crack. Dogs eat dogs, and whine softly at that.

Falun Ellie Koos is a writer and filmmaker. Falun majored in Writing for Performance at HKU and won the 2022 Joost Zwagerman essay prize with the essay Bruiklener. Hen wrote and directed the short film The Floor is Lava, which was nominated for Rialto for short. Their prose was published at the Internet Gids and in literary magazine Kluger Hans. Falun is currently working on a debut novel with Atlas Contact, to be published in 2024.
