Pogingen

Erwin Hurenkamp received a development grant for writing Pogingen, his debut novel. The book tells the story of a mother and her son, both trying in their own way to discover who they are, where they come from and how to hold their own as misfits in a hardening world that seems to offer less and less space to anyone who is not quite normal.

Erwin is a poet and writer. His debut collection Nu we er toch zijn (Querido, 2023) was on the longlist of the Grote Poëzieprijs and was nominated for the Herman de Coninck Prize and the Flemish Debut Prize.
