Nadia de Vries received a contribution for writing a surreal novella writing about dependence and deception.

Nadia is a writer and cultural scholar. She previously wrote the non-fiction book Kleinzeer (2019), an academic dissertation (2020) and three English-language poetry collections. Her second novel, De bakvis (2022), was longlisted for the 2023 Libris Literature Prize and the 2022 Boekenbon Literature Prize. The translation by Sarah Timmer Harvey, Thistle, will be published by The New Menard Press in summer 2024.
