Rosanna ter Steege received a contribution to write Lavender. Rosanna is using the contribution to experiment with her two storylines: one that begins as a five-year-old girl, and one that begins in 2020 when that same girl is 33. With what words can you write in the child's experience? How does this contrast with the insight of the young adult woman? Lavender is about a mother's suicide, the family falling apart, the traumatic events that follow and the road to healing.

Rosanna ter Steege is originally a freelance dancer, performer and creator. She is now working on her first, autobiographical debut novel.
