Anouk Suntjens received a contribution to develop a new film.

Wildgemis is a poetic documentary about Elke Tukker, a passionate Dutch researcher who has lived in the wilderness in North America for more than eight years. That same wilderness is home to 100,000 wild horses that are the main focus of a controversial and heated debate. Through Elke's personal quest, the film reflects on the question: what is wild and (how) should we manage it?

Anouk is a documentary filmmaker and journalist. With a background in dance and anthropology and from her endless curiosity, she illuminates and investigates, without judging. She is always looking for stories that show the authenticity of everyday life. With a great sense of justice and an open, penetrating view of the world and people's lives.
