Negen Weken En Een Dag

Roos Voorhorst received a grant to develop the film Negen Weken En Een Dag. When 31-year-old Sanne undergoes a successful insemination, her life turns upside down, but not as expected. She is hit by prenatal depression and is eventually forced to make an irreversible choice, partly due to lack of proper care provision.

Roos is a playwright and screenwriter. She studied Writing for Performance at the HKU and obtained her master's degree in Writing at the RITCS in Brussels. Roos writes both autonomously and on commission, working on various productions in both the Netherlands and Belgium. Her work is characterised by searching and layered characters, dark themes and her tragicomic tone.
