Becket Flannery, who goes by the artist name Beckter MWN, received a grant to develop a zine. In this zine, Becket MWN, Alison Yip and other artists reflect on infrathin, a concept by Marcel Duchamp that he believed could never be defined, but only suggested through examples. The zine consists of slices or layers of contributions from an international group of artists, each reflecting in different ways the goal of finding the inside of the inside.
Becket MWN is a multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. His work uses writing, text and publications as a medium. Although Becket's work is based on language, it is not about communication, but rather about opening up the process of making meaning so that new thinking can emerge. In each of his works, writing or speaking is challenged by formal experiments as artworks that take text as material.
