Interrogating the database

Blise Orr

Blise Orr received a grant to develop new work. Interrogating the database - Future of natural history collections speculates on the future of museums in relation to the digital. Previously, the project consisted mainly of making digital videos and researching with museums about the collections they hold. This project will be developed further by bringing the videos to life through 3D still lifes.

Blise is a spatial practitioner with a background in interior design. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2019 and moved to Rotterdam in 2021. In 2023, she completed the master's in interior architecture & research at the Piet Zwart Institute. She is a multidisciplinary designer with a focus on strategy and exhibition design. Her artistic research is about how spatial design influences ideologies of ecology in relation to our post-natural environment.
